About Lil Attitudes in Eugene, OR
We are a play-based learning center, following the guidance of Experience Early Learning. We care for children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join preschool and beyond.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on nurturing and cultivating emotional intelligence, creativity, and play. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
Our journey began in 1998, right here in Eugene, Oregon, by Amanda Hanson. Inspired by the birth of her first child, full of curiosity and "Attitude", she founded Lil' Attitudes with the goal of creating a safe and nurturing environment where children could thrive.
Her vision was to foster not only basic preschool skills but also essential life skills such as social-emotional intelligence, self-regulation, communication, and sharing. She believes that these skills empower children to navigate the world with confidence and autonomy.
We’re proud of the work we do at Lil' Attitudes, and are grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

Little Foot Lane - 6 Weeks to 12 months
Our Little Foot Lane classroom is a safe and welcoming space with plenty of natural light and colorful toys and mats to stimulate your child's senses.
In Little Foot Lane, we encourage our little ones to explore freely with their hands, feet, and mouths, so we ask that shoes be removed upon entering the classroom. Our focus is on developing key skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, making sounds, and exploring food. This classroom is specifically designed for infants up to 1 year old.
Duckling Crossing - 1 to 2 years old
Our Duckling Crossing classroom is a safe, nurturing, and loving environment. Our space is designed to cater to the physical needs of your child, while also stimulating their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
We believe that a warm and supportive environment is crucial for infants to thrive and reach their full potential. This classroom is specifically designed for infants aged 1 to 2 years old.
Meadow Drive - 2 to 3 years old
This bright and airy space is filled with natural sunlight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for your children. The wide range of activities, from kinetic sand play to imaginative kitchen play, encourages exploration and discovery. In addition to our daily curriculum, we offer numerous creative art projects that are designed to engage and inspire children of all ages.
Our focus in this classroom is on 2 year olds, and we believe that learning through play is essential for their development.
Moo Street - 3 to 4 years old
Our Moo Street classroom is designed to support children's development across various areas. We incorporate both fine and gross motor activities, and we have a daily circle time where we focus on foundational concepts like days of the week, weather, and letter recognition. We also follow a daily curriculum to ensure comprehensive learning.
Our teachers are particularly enthusiastic about incorporating bilingual learning into our day. As some of our staff are bilingual speakers, We believe in the benefits of early language exposure. We'll be reading bilingual books during circle time and incorporating Spanish throughout our activities.

Woodland Way - PreK, 4 years to 5 years old
At Woodland Way, we've created a safe and nurturing environment where your child will have the opportunity to grow, learn, and play. Our play-based learning curriculum, combined with a focus on individualized attention, ensures that your child will be well-prepared for kindergarten.
From the moment your child enters our classroom, they will feel welcomed and loved. Pictures of your child and their friends, along with our caring and dedicated teachers, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our low teacher-to-child ratio allows us to provide more one-on-one learning opportunities, ensuring that your child receives the attention they deserve.
We know that you want to stay informed about your child's day. That's why we provide daily pictures and updates, giving you peace of mind knowing that your child is in safe hands.
At Woodland Way, we assess your child's readiness for kindergarten across a range of skills, including language, literacy, math, motor skills, and social-emotional development. Our goal is to ensure that your child is confident and prepared for the next step in their educational journey.

Barnyard Boulevard - Kindergarten to 5th grade
We are open before school, after school, and most no-school days, providing a consistent and reliable environment for your child. Our classroom will always be inclusive, and we want to assure you that every student will feel valued and loved.
Having fun is one of our primary goals. We believe it makes learning easier and more engaging. We want everyone to walk into our school-age classroom with a smile, knowing they are going to have an amazing day, every day. We will also provide homework assistance to support their academic success.
During the summer, our program continues their education with a focus on math, language arts, arts & crafts, and social-emotional skills.

Amanda Hanson
Owner / Executive Director
As the Owner of Lil' Attitudes Preschool and Childcare Center, my role is to oversee all aspects of the center's operations, ensuring that we provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children in our care.
My qualifications include extensive experience in early childhood education, as well as a strong understanding of business management principles. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have completed numerous professional development courses in child development, curriculum design, and leadership.
At Lil' Attitudes, our philosophy is centered around the belief that every child is unique and deserves individualized attention and support. We strive to create a play-based learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Guadalupe Baltazar-Hernandez
Teacher/Substitute Director
As a Teacher of Lil’ Attitudes Preschool and Childcare Center, I believe that a safe and nurturing environment is crucial for fostering gross/fine motor skills, social development, and a love of learning.
In our classroom, we will explore a wide range of activities, including art, music, movement, and play-based learning. We will also focus on building positive relationships and creating a sense of community. Every morning, we will practice mindfulness and set expectations for the day.
My qualifications and experience in early childhood education have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support your child's growth and development. I am a dual English and Spanish speaker, certified in first aid/CPR, and at stage four in Oregon Registry Online. I have also been working with children for over two years and serve as a Substitute Director.
Our classroom provides a loving and caring environment where every child feels welcomed and valued. We greet each child with a warm good morning and offer hugs or high fives at pick-up.
I look forward to working with you and your child to achieve their goals and help them build friendships. I can't wait to welcome you and your little one into our Lil Attitudes Family.
