Qualified Teacher (Full-Time)

Position Purpose:

To provide a solid foundation for our youngest learners by fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. You’ll ensure the safety and well-being of the children while promoting family engagement and adhering to all local, state, and agency policies.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor children at all times, responding appropriately to emergencies.

  • Create a positive classroom climate and guide children’s behavior in effective, positive ways.

  • Implement a consistent daily schedule, including group activities, skill development, meals, and transitions.

  • Encourage exploration, problem-solving, and socialization through open-ended questions and engaging activities.

  • Support English language acquisition for dual-language learners.

  • Follow agency-adopted curricula and adapt it to meet individual children’s needs, including those with IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plans).

  • Collaborate with families, support staff, and community resources to provide comprehensive care and education.

  • Conduct parent/teacher conferences and participate in family engagement events.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency requirements.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field with equivalent coursework).

  • Minimum of one year of Pre-K classroom experience (ages 3-5).

  • Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire.

  • Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division-Central Background Registry.

Hours:

40 hours per week.

Qualified Teacher (Part-Time)

Position Purpose: To support the development and well-being of children in a part-time capacity, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising children and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

  • Support the implementation of daily schedules and curriculum activities.

  • Help with individualized learning plans and family engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with full-time staff to ensure a cohesive and effective program.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field with equivalent coursework).

  • Experience working with children ages 3-5 preferred.

  • Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire.

  • Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division-Central Background Registry.

Pay: 

16.00–25.00/hour (based on education and experience).

Hours:

20–30 hours per week.
