Qualified Teacher (Full-Time)
Position Purpose:
To provide a solid foundation for our youngest learners by fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. You’ll ensure the safety and well-being of the children while promoting family engagement and adhering to all local, state, and agency policies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor children at all times, responding appropriately to emergencies.
Create a positive classroom climate and guide children’s behavior in effective, positive ways.
Implement a consistent daily schedule, including group activities, skill development, meals, and transitions.
Encourage exploration, problem-solving, and socialization through open-ended questions and engaging activities.
Support English language acquisition for dual-language learners.
Follow agency-adopted curricula and adapt it to meet individual children’s needs, including those with IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plans).
Collaborate with families, support staff, and community resources to provide comprehensive care and education.
Conduct parent/teacher conferences and participate in family engagement events.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency requirements.
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field with equivalent coursework).
Minimum of one year of Pre-K classroom experience (ages 3-5).
Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire.
Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division-Central Background Registry.
Hours:
40 hours per week.
Qualified Teacher (Part-Time)
Position Purpose: To support the development and well-being of children in a part-time capacity, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assist in supervising children and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Support the implementation of daily schedules and curriculum activities.
Help with individualized learning plans and family engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with full-time staff to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field with equivalent coursework).
Experience working with children ages 3-5 preferred.
Strong communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of hire.
Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division-Central Background Registry.
Pay:
16.00–25.00/hour (based on education and experience).
Hours:
20–30 hours per week.
